Frequently Asked Questions
Network Technology & IP Addressing
What is Direct Access (Local Network)?
Industry Standard: Direct access connects you straight to local carrier networks (Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, etc.) with a local IP address - just like a regular SIM card.
Benefits: Lowest latency (10-40ms), all services work (banking, streaming, ride-sharing), accurate geolocation, maximum speeds.
This is the professional standard used by major carriers worldwide.

What is VPN Breakout?
Budget Alternative: VPN breakout routes your traffic through a VPN server in another country. Your IP appears to be from that country (e.g., UK, Singapore) instead of your actual location.
Trade-offs: Higher latency (100-200ms), some services blocked (banking apps, Netflix), wrong geolocation. Used by budget providers to reduce costs.
Identification: SimRapid clearly marks VPN plans with a 🔒 badge showing the IP exit country.
